A list of the primary types of Buprestidae (Coleoptera)
in the U.S. National Museum of Natural History

Abstract - An alphabetical listing (by genus) of the primary types of Buprestidae deposited in the U.S. National Museum of Natural History is presented. For each type the list gives the generic, specific and subspecific names, author, date and page number of publication, registered (USNM) type number, information on designation of lecto- or neotypes, and the current generic placement or synonymy. A brief discussion on missing or uncertain status types, and a complete list of the literature with the original descriptions and subsequent designations for the 778 primary types are also given.
