Revisión del subgénero Chirodines Bates de Phyllophaga
(Coleoptera: Melolonthidae, Melolonthinae)

Abstract - Revision of the subgenus Chirodines Bates of Phyllophaga (Coleoptera: Melolonthidae, Melolonthinae) - A redescription of Phyllophaga (Chirodines) zunilensis (Bates) 1888 is presented. Originally, the genus Chirodines Bates was erected with this species. Two new species: P. (Ch.) ome sp. n. from Chiapas, Mexico and P. (Ch.) yei sp. n. from Oaxaca, Mexico, are also described. The male genital capsule and the characteristic tarsal claws of the three species are illustrated. A key for the identification of the males and comments about the definition of the subgenus within the classification proposed by Morón (1986) are also included.
