Abstract - About the true identity of Elaphocera affinis Schaufuss, 1874 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Melolonthinae: Pachydemini) - The type material of Elaphocera affinis Schaufuss, 1874 is studied. This is a good species, not a synonym of Elaphocera carteiensis Rambur, 1843 (= Elaphocera granatensis Rambur, 1843).
