Abstract - Fourteen new species, as well as one new subspecies of Acmaeodera - A. (Acmaeodera) krajciki (Kenya), A. (Acmaeotethya) tanzanica (Tanzania), A. (Acmaeotethya) sosomae (Kenya), A. (Acmaeotethya) sosomae gottwaldi (Tanzania), A. (Acmaeotethya) erongoensis (Namibia), A. (Rugacmaeodera) snizeki (Kenya), A. (Rugacmaeodera) zanzibarensis (Tanza-nia), A. (Rugacmaeodera) garseni (Kenya), A. (Rugacmaeodera) namibdesertica (Namibia), A. (Rugacmaeodera) solwezica (Zambia), A. (Rugacmaeodera) somalica (Somalia), A. Abstract - Fifth contribution to the knowledge of the Agrilini of French Guiana (Coleoptera, Buprestidae, Agrilinae) - Four new species of Agrilus from French Guiana stored in the Marek collection (Czech Republic) are described: Agrilus (Agrilus) oinoicus n. sp., Agrilus (Agrilus) mareki n. sp., Agrilus (Agrilus) balatanus n. sp. and Agrilus (Agrilus) consuetus n. sp.; Agrilus (Agrilus) goryellus Thomson, 1879 is recorded for first time from French Guiana and the male of Agrilus (Uragrilus) virginiae Curletti & Brûlé, 2013 is described. With this fifth contribution, the buprestid fauna of French Guiana counts now 110 species of Agrilus.

N. 59: The William F. (Bill) Barr Memorial Issue

This issue of Giornale Italiano di Entomologia is dedicated to the memory of William F. (Bill) Barr (20 October 1920 - 17 December 2011), noted coleopterist from the Pacific Northwest, U.S.A., shown above in a 2005 photo with his wife, Audrey. Bill, who specialized in the families Buprestidae and Cleridae, was a colleague, mentor and friend to many entomologists, some of which pay special tribute to him in the writings to follow. The lead article includes memories from a dozen such people and includes lists of Bill’s publications and described taxa, and patronyms described in his honor. This is followed by submitted papers dedicated to Bill by some of these plus other colleagues.

Abstract - A new genus, Billbarrellus, is proposed for the single species Eulasiodora singularis Obenberger 1931, which is distinct from the type species of that genus, Eulasiodora umtalina (Péringuey 1908) (formerly Paradora), at the subtribal level. Both taxa are redescribed and illustrated to emphasize their differences.

A new species of Bubastoides from Namibia

Abstract - Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) billbarri sp. nov. from the Sultanate of Brunei, belonging to the A. (H.) aeneocuprea Kerremans, 1913 species-group, is described. This new species is compared with A. (H.) acaciae Fisher, 1935 from Java, which is the most similar and probably the most related species and vicariant. Illustrations of habitus and male genitalia of both species are provided.

Abstract - Agrilus brattaini Wellso & Manley new species, similar in appearance to Agrilus mimosae Fisher, and Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) caseyi williambarri Wellso new subspecies, both from Texas, are described herein. Agrilus chihuahuae Cazier is recorded for the first time from the USA. Additional state and larval host records are presented for other Buprestidae in the genera Acmaeodera, Buprestis, Chrysobothris, Paragrilus, Paratyndaris, Polycesta, and Taphrocerus.

Abstract - A new species of Dessumia Descarpentries & Villiers, 1966, D. barri n. sp. from Malaysia (Sabah), is described and compared with D. vitalisi (Bourgoin, 1922) from Laos and southwestern China. Illustrations of the habitus and other diagnostic characters of both species are provided. The third species assigned to the same genus, Dessumia atrata (Bourgoin, 1922), is transferred to the genus Demostis Kerremans, 1900 (new combination).

Ptosima barri, a new species from Southeast Asia

Abstract - Ptosima barri, sp. n. from Laos and Vietnam is described, illustrated and compared with related species. Taxonomic notes on the Eurasian species of Ptosima Dejean, 1833 are presented. Lectotypes are designated for P. indica Laporte & Gory, 1835; P. elegans Nonfried, 1895; and P. sennae Nonfried, 1895. A key for the identification of the Eurasian species of Ptosima is provided.

With this fourth contribution, French Guiana counts one hundred and five species of Agrilus and five species of Agriloides.
