Abstract - A new species of the genus Moriosomus Motschulsky, 1864 (Coleoptera, Carabidae). The new species - M. seticollis - of the genus Moriosomus Motschulsky, till now monotypic, is distinguished from the type species [M. silvestris (Motschulsky, 1855)] by the larger and stouter size and the number of setae on the lateral border of pronotum.
