Abstract - Heliothis armigera is polyphagous and a serious pest of gram but has preferences for tomato, sunflower, sweet pea, maize, pigeon pea etc. Adults are highly mobile and oviposit on many hosts. In the three varieties of gram studied (i.e. K4, H208 and Radhe), it prefers Radhe variety most and in case of associated varieties of hosts gram followed by pigeon pea.
