Abstract - A new larval host plant, Bossiaea rhombifolia Sieb. ex DC. (Fabaceae), is recorded here for the Australian buprestid beetle, Cisseis acuducta (Kirby) (Coleoptera: Buprestidae: Buprestinae: Coraebini). Its habitat is briefly recorded and aspects of the larval/pupal chamber are described. Bossiaea rhombifolia has not been recorded previously as a larval host for any Cisseis species, but has been recorded previously for Melobasis apicalis Macleay. The larval hosts of C. acuducta are compared with the known larval hosts of other Cisseis species.
