Abstract - Notes on Cyclocephala Latreille (Coleoptera: Melolonthidae, Dynastinae) associated with Xanthosoma Schott (Araceae) in Chiapas, Mexico - Seventy specimens of Cyclocephala amblyopsis, C. stictica, C. sexpunctata and C. mafaffa were found inside 18 inflorescences of Xanthosoma hoffmanni, X. violaceum and X. robustum, during researches carried out in the Soconusco area, Tapachula, Chiapas. The results are compared with other studies and samples from Neotropical areas, and the possibility of close evolutionary relations between the Araceae and Cyclocephalini in the New World are discussed.
