A biological note on the rare Australian longicorn beetle,
Paressius viridipennis Aurivillius
(Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Lamiinae)

Abstract - A record is made of the rare Australian longicorn beetle, Paressius viridipennis Aurivillius (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Lamiinae) from the Brisbane district, south-eastern Queensland, Australia. The adult is a nectar feeder on the flowers of Angophora costata (Gaertn.) Britt. ssp. leiocarpa Johnson & Leach (Myrtaceae). This is the first published biological observation on the species.
