Abstract - With a view to the perfect various components of integrated pest management systems, studies were initiated to know the influence of field fertilization with various NPK on the incidence of the jassid, Amrasca biguttula biguttula Ishida and the shoot and fruit borer, Leucinodes orbonalis Guen. Significant (P<0.05) variations in the jassid population and incidence (%) of L. orbonalis (on number as well as weight basis) were observed between NPK treated and control (non treated) plots. An increase in nitrogen and phosphorus doses resulted in higher jassid and fruit borer infestation. However, with the increase in potassium doses an inverse relationship was observed. A marketable (borer uninfested) fruit yield was found to be positively influenced by N x P, N x K and P x K interactions only.
