Abstract - In the present work the data obtained during two years and in 48 different occasions (7.813 specimens of Scarabaeoidea were found) are put together. The gathering of the material took place in the wide pastures bordering the salty lagoons of Villafáfila (Zamora), zones in which graze more than 8.000 heads of sheeps. With the data obtained from the specimens, the phenological cycles of the coprophagous species of sheep and their relationship with those which invade other excrements, from bovine cattle and horses, showing their trophic appetencies, are defined. After the observation of the phenological and trophic aspects, a series of groupings, which have the species with same periods of activity, are established. It is worth noting that the large size species do not have any trophic preferences for the excrements of sheep and that those which show greater presence are: Aphodius (Volinus) distinctus, A. (Melinopterus) sphacelatus, A. (Calamosternus) granarius, A. (Anomius) castaneus, A. (Aphodius) scybalarius, A. (Aphodius) fimetarius, A. (Nimbus) contaminatus, Onthophagus vacca, O. taurus, O. furcatus.
