Abstract - In this note the A. states the synonymy Platyderus (Platyderodes) merkli Apf., 1904 = Amphimasoreus amaroides La Brul., 1876, and discusses the systematic position of the genus Amphimasoreus, that he considers closely allied to Platyderus.
