Observaciones comparativas sobre la morfología pupal de los
Coleoptera Melolonthidae neotropicales

Abstract - Comparative observations on the pupal morphology in the Neotropical Coleoptera Melolonthidae - Using the abdominal characters of pupae and pupal exuviae of 46 species in 37 genera of Neotropical Coleoptera Melolonthidae, diagnoses for 13 tribes of Melolonthinae, Rutelinae, Dynastinae, Trichiinae and Cetoniinae are proposed. At the subfamily level, the diagnoses are supplied with preliminary data and drawings on the location of the larval exuvia inside the pupal chamber and the size of the ecdysial aperture in the third instar larva.
