Studies on the Coprophagous Scarab Beetles from East Asia. II

Abstract - One species-group of the genus Copris Müller and two species groups of the subgenus Parascatonomus Paulian of the genus Onthophagus Latreille are revised. Two new species of the genus Copris and nine of the rudis species-group of the genus Onthophagus are described. In the discedens species-group of the same latter genus one species is described as new and one is redefined. Revised taxonomic keys of the two species-groups of the genus Onthophagus and the species-group of the genus Copris are given. Besides, a phylogenetic analysis of the rudis species-group through the computer program PAUP is presented.
