A new species of Euplectalecia Obenberger from Guyana
(Coleoptera: Buprestidae)

Abstract - A new species of Euplectalecia Obenberger from Guyana - E. spectraloides - is described and fully illustrated. Brief comments are given concerning the perceived relationships with its congeners. A modified, artificial key is presented to allow identification of the Central American and northern South American species.
