Abstract - Notes on the Silphidae (Coleoptera) of the Gerbasso Wood, Carmagnola (TO), Italy - The Gerbasso Wood is a renaturalized area in the territory of the Municipality of Carmagnola (Turin province) in the Po river Park (Piedmont, NW Italy). During the years 1999 and 2000 a study on the carrion beetle population (Coleoptera, Silphidae) was carried out in this area. 733 individuals belonging to 7 species were collected. In this paper an annotated list of the species is reported and some aspects of the structure of the carrion beetle population are discussed.

Abstract - The family Silphidae (Col.) in the Orocantabrian phytogeographic province. 2. The tribe Silphini - This second paper on the Silphidae in the phytogeographic Orocantabrian province (Spain) presents a check-list of the species of Silphini. Twelve species in six genera (Necrodes, Oeceoptoma, Phosphuga, Silpha, Thanatophilus and Xylodrepa) have been identified. The geographic distributions, phenological variations and ecology have been studied.
