Abstract - A new Italian species of anophthalmous Lathrobium is described and illustrated: Lathrobium colacurcioi sp. n. from Castel d'Aiano (Bologna) and Monte Paolo (Ravenna). The new species differs from the similar Lathrobium maginii Bordoni, 1972 from Mugello (Tuscany) by external characters (larger body and different punctation), and by the large aedeagus, with different apex of dorsal and ventral laminae and by the structure of the inner sac. The new species occurs on the Adriatic slopes of the Apennines, while Lathrobium maginii is found on the Tyrrhenian slopes of the same. A new record, the first since the description of the species, for Lathrobium garioi Bordoni, 1984 is given.
