Abstract - A treatise of the Dermestoides Genus Group, a monophyletic group of 14 genera of Neorthopleurinae, is presented. The genera involved are: Colobotis Opitz, Decicornis Opitz, Dermestoides Schaeffer, Funicula Opitz, Megafodina Opitz, Nelsonoplium Barr, Neorthopleura Barr, Novemera Opitz, Orthopleuroides Kuwert, Syriopelta Winkler, Tenerastes Lesne, Tene-romimus Gahan, Tenerus Laporte, and Tricladus Fairmaire. Seven new species of the subfamily are described: Megafodina barri (Madagascar), Nelsonoplium corpeltum (Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua), N. oblatum (Mexico), N. omotaxis (Guatemala, Nicaragua), N. parviclavum (Mexico), N. toledoi (Mexico), and Tricladus namibia (Namibia). Lectotypes are designated for Enoplium coerulans Fairmaire, Tricladus ater Pic, and T. metallicus Pic, all transferred to Megafodina. A phylogenic tree and keys to genera and species are provided.
