New or poorly known Laccobius
of the subgenus Notoberosus Blackburn, 1895
(Coleoptera, Hydrophilidae)

Abstract - Nine new species of the genus Laccobius, subgenus Notoberosus, are described: L. arfakensis sp. nov. (Indonesia, West Papua), L. bacanicus sp. nov. (Indonesia, Bacan), L. cyclopicus sp. nov. (Indonesia, West Papua), L. gratus sp. nov. (Papua New Guinea), L. herzoganus sp. nov. (Papua New Guinea), L. luciae sp. nov. (Papua New Guinea), L. okapanus sp. nov. (Papua New Guinea), L. peraclesicus sp. nov. (Papua New Guinea), L. skalei sp. nov. (Indonesia, Halmahera). New locality data are provided for four other species (L. novaebritanniae Gentili, 1980, L. papuensis Gentili, 1980, L. sulawesicus Gentili, 1988, L. virens Gentili, 1981). The key to subgenus Notoberosus is updated including the new species.
