A new CW Mediterranean species of
Laccobius (Dimorpholaccobius): L. (D.) fresnedai sp. n.
(Coleoptera, Hydrophilidae)

Abstract - Laccobius fresnedai sp. n. was detected as new species by Javier Fresneda in 1989; now it is described with reference to Spanish, Italian and Moroccan specimens. It differs from the closest species - L. bipunctatus (Fabricius, 1775) - by elytral and mainly aedeagal characters.
